SIA Instructor Course
SIA Instructor Course is compulsory to become a professional SIA Trainer, it allows you to teach Security Guarding , Door Supervisor and CCTV Course. You must be competent in the sector that you wish to teach and for all sectors except close protection, your experience must be from within the UK.
Assessor Course (TAQA)
This TAQA Assessor Training online programme, with exceptional support. This course has been designed to train you in the theoretical and practical skills needed to support the assessment process of RQF qualifications or other professional industry specific standards.
Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)
This is the IQA qualification which you need to do if you want to become an IQA or internal verifier. This course was previously known as the D34 or V1 course.
This Level 4 IQA training is suitable to internally verify any NVQ, RQF, Functional Skills or other regulated qualifications like apprenticeships as well.

Who is this Top Up Course for?
- This Top Up Training Course is for individuals who currently have an SIA Door Supervisor Licence or a Security guard license and they wish to renew their SIA License.
How can I book and pay for the course?
You book and pay using your credit card or debit card securely online or over the phone. You can also pay via bank transfer. Please contact us if you would like to make the payment via bank transfer.

When will I receive my examination result?
Results are published online within 10-14 working days after your examination date. You will be notified by SMS and email when they are ready to view – in the rare case your results are delayed, we will always keep you informed.
When will I receive my certificate?
Certificates are usually dispatched 7 days after successful course completion. Please contact us – if it has been over 14 days so we can verify your address and arrange for a replacement.
Please note, you don’t need a certificate to apply for your SIA Licence.
I want to renew my License as a Security Guard, is this course right for me?
Yes, you would need an SIA Top Up Training to renew your Door Supervisor Licence to allows you to work as a Security Guard and a Door Supervisor.
That means – you can work in retail security, nightclubs and events with a Door Supervisor Licence.
What ID documents do I have to bring along?
It is a regulatory requirement to do an identity check for all security-related qualifications. Therefore, candidates who are attending Licence linked course are requested to provide the following upon arrival;
- Two passport size photos
- Original passport of any nationality or UK photo Drivers Licence
- Two forms of address proof (originals)

Note: You will not be able to sit the exam if you do not have the correct ID Documents. (Government Requirement)

What if my course is cancelled?
We hate it when training providers have to cancel a course – but it can happen for reasons outside our control. If your course is cancelled – we will offer you an alternate date, if that date is not suitable, we will offer you an instant refund.
Does the course fee include the SIA Licence application fee?
The course fee does not include the licence fee. The licence application fee of £220 is payable to directly to the SIA when applying for the licence – which is valid for three years.
