What is the CSCS Test?

The CSCS Test checks your knowledge of the key safety measures needed to work on-site. The test assesses different occupations and includes specific health and safety rules for using equipment or working in particular environments.

1: Complete the CSCS Health and Safety Level 1 Course:

3: Apply for Your CSCS Card:

After passing the test, you can apply for your CSCS Card directly through the CSCS website.

2: Pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test:

This test evaluates your understanding of safety protocols in the construction industry.

4: Receive Your CSCS Card:

Once your application is processed, your CSCS Card will be issued, allowing you to work on UK construction sites.

The cost of a CSCS Card is approximately £36. You will also need to pay for the CITB Test, which costs around £22.50.

To get a CSCS Card, you must complete a CSCS Health and Safety Course, pass the CITB Test, and then apply for the card through the official CSCS website.

The minimum age requirement is 18.

Once you’ve passed the CITB Test, you can apply for your CSCS Card on the CSCS website by submitting proof of your test result and paying the card fee.

Most CSCS Cards are valid for five years. You’ll need to renew your card before it expires.

You can apply for a blue CSCS Card by demonstrating equivalent qualifications or experience, even if you don’t have an NVQ.

The CSCS Test costs around £22.50 and can be booked through the CITB.

You can renew your CSCS Card by passing the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test again and reapplying through the CSCS website.

A CSCS Card costs £36. This does not include the cost of the CITB Test, which is required to get the card.
