SIA Security Guard Course (4 days)
SIA Security Guard Course will be delivered in 4 days class, the class will run from 9 am to 18:00. This course will also include an emergency first aid course. Both the SIA Security Guard Course and the emergency first aid course are required to apply for an SIA Security guard licence.
We run this SIA Security Guard course every week and at the end of the security guard course, there will be 3 multiple-choice examinations. Once you place your order, we will contact you with additional information, and all the requirements that you need to bring with you on your first day.

Level 2: National Certificate for SIA Security Guard Course 4 Days (SIA-Approved) £270
To get an SIA Door Supervisor Course license you will need to attend a four-part training course and pass four exams. The course may be delivered in 6 days (A minimum 44 hours Class is required by SIA for this course- without completion of 44 hours your certificate may be invalidated). We run this door supervisor course every week and at the end of the door supervisor course, there will be an examination.

Please Note Emergency First Aid Training Is Compulsory Please Include it If You Have Not Completed It Already.
How long is the training course?
It has been designed to be completed in 4 Days (although longer tuition or self-study options may be available).
What documents do I need to bring with me?
First, you will be required to bring Identification documents such as a Passport or driver’s licence as proof of ID. Secondly, you must provide two proof of address HMRC letters, Tax bills, utility bills or bank statements etc. Finally, you must also bring 2 passport-size photographs.
Entry Requirements: You must have an Emergency First aid at work certificate or completion evidence and you must be over 18

On the final day of your course, there will be 3 multiple-choice exams and a practical assessment. Everything you need to know is covered in the SIA Security Guard Course, and your training instructor will fully prepare you for success. Furthermore, you will be provided with mock exam papers to help you be ready for the exams.
The SIA Security Guard Course will cover the below topics, also an assessment at the end of the week.

Unit 1: Principles of Working in the Private Security Industry
- Know the main characteristics and purposes of the Private Security Industry
- Understand legislation as it applies to a security operative
- Understand arrest procedures relevant to security operatives
- Understand the importance of safe working practices
- Understand fire procedures in the workplace
- Understand emergencies and the importance of emergency procedures
- Understand how to communicate effectively as a security operative
- Understand record-keeping relevant to the role of the security operative
- Understand terror threats and the role of the security operative in the event of a threat
- Understand how to keep vulnerable people safe
- Understand good practices for post incident management
Unit 2: Principles of Working as a Security Officer In The Private Security Industry
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of security officers
- Understand the control of access and egress.
- Know the different types of electronic and physical protection systems in the security environment.
- Know how to minimise risk to personal safety at work.
- Understand drug-misuse legislation, issues and procedures relevant to the role of a security officer.
- Know how to conduct effective search procedures.
- Understand how to patrol designated areas safely.
Unit 3: Application of Conflict Management in the Private Security Industry
- Understand the principles of conflict management appropriate to the role
- Understand how to recognise, assess and reduce risk in conflict situations
- Understand the use of problem-solving techniques when resolving conflict
- Be able to communicate to deescalate conflict
